6 Emerging 2023 AV Trends to Watch

As we round out the last month of 2022, it is the perfect time to look ahead to the coming year and predict what is next for audio visual technology trends. Here are some of the most worthwhile 2023 AV trends we expect to see.

1. Unique Use Of Spaces

A new trend that has cropped up this year has been the creation of huddle rooms within corporate spaces. These small, informal rooms will likely continue to be a hot trend next year, along with a continued rise in distant learning options (and corresponding technology). In hospitality and healthcare specifically, we are sure to see more resiliency and wellness rooms prioritized, as proactivity in these areas keeps gaining momentum.

2. AV As A Service (AVaaS)

AVaaS became a better-known concept this year, as a way for companies to access modern AV solutions without requiring a significant upfront investment. As it offers an alternative to the traditional lump sum (or CapEx) form of investment, instead requiring a monthly payment to maintain the system, it is attractive to many organizations. We expect AVaaS to continue to gain in popularity in the year ahead.

3. All-In-One Video Bars

As companies and facilities seek to streamline their virtual meetings and technology needs, all-in-one video bars like the Logitech Rally Bar Mini are highly sought after. With a dual-camera system and RightSight 2 auto-framing technology, Rally Bar welcomes remote participants to an in-person conversation and uplevels the very construct of virtual, collaborative meetings.

4. AI Voice Tech

Artificial intelligence (AI) has come a long way in recent years, becoming a technology that helps to seamlessly improve the patient experience in healthcare facilities and converse naturally in customer service applications. In 2023, keep an eye out for new and unique ways that AI voice technology in particular will be used.

5. Sound MaskingĀ

Sound masking technologies have been around for a while, but they are becoming more and more in-demand as a variety of industries realize their potential. They help to create privacy in offices, allowing employees to work distraction-free and/or have private conversations without fear of being overhead. Similarly, sound masking in healthcare facilities allows patients to feel more comfortable discussing sensitive medical details without worrying about others listening in.

6. Contactless Technology

Ever since COVID-19 first emerged, there has been an increase in demand for contact-free technology. Whether it is to help limit the spread of germs or to simply make specific processes more efficient, contactless tech is on the rise. Expect to see this in use in healthcare, corporate and other settings in the near future.
